GR-2 is 175 centimetres tall, weighs 63 kilograms and has 53 degrees of freedom including twelve in each hand, driven by seven variants of Fourier's own Smart Actuator with peak torques above 380 newton metres. Six array-type tactile sensors per hand let it sense contact force and infer object shape and material, and the detachable battery gives about two hours before a swap. Each arm lifts three kilograms. Fourier came to humanoids from exoskeletons and rehabilitation robots, and sells GR-2 with an open software platform to research institutions and companies developing embodied intelligence applications.
