IRON is XPeng's bipedal humanoid, first shown at the company's 2024 technology day and heavily revised for the November 2025 version. The newer robot uses a full solid-state battery pack, three of XPeng's in-house Turing AI chips running a physical-world foundation model that handles vision, language and locomotion together, and hands with 22 degrees of freedom. XPeng has carried vehicle engineering across directly, including an indoor automatic emergency braking function that stops the robot before collisions. The company says mass production will begin in late 2026 and has begun work on a dedicated robot factory, so the machine remains a company demonstrator rather than a delivered product.
