The KHR-3HV is a 401 millimetre biped kit weighing about 1.5 kilograms, built from aluminium brackets and 17 Kondo KRS-series digital servos. Buyers assemble it themselves and program gaits and motions with Kondo's HeartToHeart software, or drive it from a radio controller. Because the frame and servo layout are open to modification it became one of the most common base machines in Japanese hobby humanoid competitions such as ROBO-ONE. Kondo Kagaku has sold successive revisions of the kit since 2009 through hobby distributors in Japan and abroad.
