Moxi pairs a seven-degree-of-freedom arm and a socially expressive head with LED eyes on an omnidirectional wheeled base rather than legs. It navigates hospital corridors autonomously, calls lifts over the network, opens supply room doors and hands off items, using learned manipulation behaviours with remote human assistance for unusual cases. Diligent sells it as a subscription service, and units have run at Texas Health Resources, Mary Washington Healthcare and other United States hospital systems.
