Relay is a knee high wheeled robot with a lockable bin on top, sized to share a lift with people and to wait politely at a guest room door. Lidar, 3D cameras and sonar drive SLAM navigation, and a wireless link lets it call and ride elevators between floors. The first hotel pilot ran at the Aloft in Cupertino in 2014 under the name Botlr, and later deployments include hospital laboratory and pharmacy runs. Savioke renamed itself Relay Robotics in 2021.
