The Starship robot is a knee high six wheeled electric container that crosses sidewalks and road crossings at walking pace. It drives itself using cameras, ultrasonic sensors, radar and satellite positioning, while remote operators monitor fleets and take over at difficult crossings. Cargo sits in a locked bin that the customer opens from a phone app. Fleets work university campuses, suburbs and town centres in the United States, the United Kingdom, Finland, Denmark and Estonia.
