Bumi is 94 centimetres tall and weighs 12 kilograms, built from lightweight composite materials to hold cost and mass down. It walks on two legs and performs choreographed routines including dancing, running Noetix's own motion control system with an open programming interface for owners and schools. Noetix announced it in October 2025 at under 10,000 yuan, roughly 1,370 dollars, and opened preorders around the Chinese Double 11 and Double 12 shopping festivals. The company also sells the larger N2 biped, and positions Bumi at consumers, hobbyists and classrooms rather than industrial users.
