The M.52 is a commercial electric mower with a 52 inch side discharge deck, built for landscape contractors rather than homeowners. An operator drives the perimeter of a mow zone once and the machine remembers it, then mows the interior autonomously, steering around trees and poles and stopping for people and pets. Perception comes from eight high dynamic range cameras and a ring of ultrasonic sensors, with no boundary wire required. Scythe sells it on a pay per acre basis rather than outright.
