Kiwibot is a small four wheeled box robot designed around low cost hardware and heavy use of remote human supervision. Cameras and satellite positioning drive routine sidewalk navigation, and operators in a control centre handle crossings and edge cases. It was built for university food service, where fixed routes and predictable sidewalks suit its short range. Deployments run on college campuses and in city districts in the United States and Latin America.
