The K5 is a tall bullet shaped wheeled robot that patrols outdoor ground at walking pace, streaming 360 degree video, thermal imagery and audio to a security operations centre. It reads licence plates, detects people and devices, and can broadcast a spoken warning or trigger strobes. Navigation is autonomous along mapped patrol routes, and the machine returns to a charging pad by itself. Knightscope leases the robots to car parks, corporate campuses, hospitals and public agencies in the United States.
