REEM-C stands 165 centimetres, weighs 80 kilograms and carries 68 degrees of freedom, of which 38 are in its two articulated hands. Six-axis force and torque sensors in each ankle support balance control, and the head carries stereo cameras alongside a microphone array and sonar for interaction work. It runs for about three hours walking or six on standby, and lifts around ten kilograms with both arms. PAL Robotics has sold REEM-C to laboratories worldwide as the commercial descendant of its earlier wheeled REEM service robots.
