G1 stands 132 centimetres and weighs about 35 kilograms, folding down to 69 centimetres for transport, with 23 degrees of freedom in the base model and up to 43 on the EDU version with a three-axis waist and dexterous hands. Each arm carries about two kilograms, knee joints are rated at 90 newton metres, and a 9,000 milliamp-hour pack gives roughly two hours of use. Sensing is by 3D lidar and depth camera with a four-microphone array, and an eight-core processor runs Unitree's stack with reinforcement learning training environments supplied. Its low price made it the most common humanoid in university labs, developer projects and public demonstrations, including choreographed appearances on Chinese state television.
