Go2 replaced the Go1 with a stiffer body, higher torque joints and a lidar giving full 360 degree coverage around the robot. Consumer versions walk, follow a person and stream video to a phone app, while education versions expose joint level control for research and take extra onboard computing. Trot speed runs from 2.5 metres per second on the base model up to 3.7 on the education version, and its low price made it the most widely sold quadruped of its generation.
