Go1 carries twelve in-house actuators, several stereo camera pairs and ultrasonic sensors, and a side following mode that keeps it beside a walking person. Higher grade versions add onboard computers and a low level joint interface for research, which made it common in university laboratories as well as in demonstrations. Unitree sold it worldwide from 2021 and replaced it with the Go2 in 2023.
Of note
- Launched from about 2,700 US dollars, undercutting every comparable quadruped at the time
- Its side following mode was built to keep pace with a person on foot
