Spirit 40 is a scaled down relative of Vision 60 with twelve direct drive electric joints and the same proprioceptive control approach that lets it walk without vision. It is light enough for one person to carry and is used for indoor and subterranean reconnaissance and for university research on legged control. Ghost Robotics supplies it with a software interface for custom controllers and mounts for cameras and radios.
Of note
- Sized for stairwells and confined spaces where larger quadrupeds cannot work
- Used for swarm and control research alongside the larger Vision 60
